An absolute must for any herbalist or kitchen witch, a mortar and pestle are used to grind herbs, spices and flowers into powder. We use this traditional method of grinding to turn our herbs from the Pretty Potions Garden into our Witches' Powders (available in the Apothecary!) It helps to maintain the integrity and energy of our herbs much better than other, more modern forms of grinding, and they've been around for more than 6,000 years.
This mortar is 4” in diameter, while the pestle is just under 4” long.
